A Fallen Soldier

Please take a moment to pray for the family of Cody Legg.

Cody was killed in combat on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008, while in Iraq. Cody is the nephew, through marriage, of one of my dear friends here on this blog: Cyndi.

I'm am grateful for Cody's honorable service to our country! I thank God for his courage and tenacity.

If you would like to send a card to the family, please contact me by email. I know the family will appreciate our show of support.

GOD BLESS ALL THOSE SOLDIERS WHO ARE WILLING TO GIVE UP THEIR LIVES FOR US!

Sorry I haven't been commenting lately. I haven't been commenting anywhere. Real life intruded, big time. But now I am back and intend to have a fabulous summer, which includes re-connecting with my best blogging friends.

I am off to see what other posts I missed. I hope you don't mind if I don't comment on them all. I just got too far behind.

Love, Julie

Thank-YOU to Colleen for your comment! I sent you an email.

Good to see you again dear Julie! Like has hit pretty hard here, too. I am looking forward to some of the free time I will have here this summer. Plus, I have my 1-year Anniversary coming up!

Praying!

I cannot imagine the pain these families endure in their loss.

I hope that it can be mixed with the pride and honor of knowing that this death was not in vain.
Our military is full of brave and strong individuals who do a job that is so important. All I can say to this family is, "Thank You." and "I am sorry for your loss."

We should all drop to our knees and thank God for our dedicated service men and women.

My heart breaks for this young man's family. Such a loss is never overcome.

Of course I will send them a card. Please e-mail me.

We would be honored to send a card...we are thankful everyday for the men & women in service protecting our families, country and freedoms. We try to personally thank anyone we see in uniform, and to pay tribute to a fallen soldier's family would be the very least we could do to say thank you.

blessings,

I'd love to send a card. My own son is in Iraq too, and I worry a little bit every day even though I know he's in God's hands. He was just home on leave and left to go back to Iraq yesterday. I'll be so glad when his tour is over!

God bless ALL our men and women who choose to serve this wonderful country. ::Jill

It would be an honor to send a card to the family of this couragous soldier.. they will be in my prayers in the hopes they gain strength to cope and heal...

We all at times take for granted how lucky we are that our sons and daughters are defending our right to freedom... We should all be proud as I am sure this family is of their son

The family will be in my thoughts and prayers. We are so blessed in this country to have so many brave men and women to defend us and all that makes America great. It's heartbreaking to see the number of deaths from the war keep going up. I really feel for the families of the fallen soldiers.

hi
Cody is my nephew from my brother in laws first marriage. So I didn't know him very well. Don't worry about cards---just pray for his Mom, Bunny and my sister Melinda and her dh Dave and all the other family members. His body just arrived back in the states this week. He died a hero..running back to check on his soldiers that had fallen.

Thanks so much.
